Drift is a static site. No accounts. Your topics, likes, history, and favorites never get uploaded to a Drift server — they stay in this browser.
Preferences stay in your browser’s localStorage on this device only:
Clearing site data for this origin removes those items. Exporting favorites downloads a file you control; importing merges a file you choose.
Until the site publisher sets an AdSense client id, Drift only shows clearly labeled fictional placeholder ads and does not load third-party ad scripts.
After a publisher id is configured, Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and personalize ads, measure performance, and limit how often you see the same ad. Google’s own explanation of those technologies is here: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
You can often manage ad personalization through your Google account ad settings and through your browser’s cookie controls.
When you Drift to another website — or open one from a preview card — that site’s own privacy practices apply. Drift only chooses a link from its catalog or from favorites saved on this device.
